"TAKE YOUR TIME"

Scripture: Proverbs 19:2

The other day I was driving down a two lane highway. I noticed a turtle that had successfully crossed the center of the highway and was slowly making its way to the other side of the street. I was amazed that a turtle had been able to cross the street without being run over by one of the hundreds of vehicles that travel that street daily. More interestingly, about a foot from the path that the turtle had crossed there was a deer lying on the side of the road. The deer had obviously made an effort to dash across the same street and had been hit by a vehicle.

Proverbs 19:2B reads "a person in a hurry makes mistakes"

(GW). Learn the benefits of taking your time. We live in a world that is constantly focused on speeding things up. We have transitioned from stoves to micro-wave ovens. Technology is always upgrading from 1G to 3G to 4G as consumers insist on faster ways to transfer information. We are in a fast pace and almost instant culture.

Unfortunately, the quest for the instant and immediate has caused many of us to be like the deer crossing the road. It took the turtle much longer, but the turtle was successful. Anything worth doing at all is worth doing right. Learn the benefits of taking your time.
