"CONGRATULATIONS"

Scripture: Matthew 14: 22-33

I would like to take this moment to congratulate you on your last mistake. The fact that you made a mistake indicates that you were making effort. Those who make the greatest mistakes are the ones who take the greatest risk and they are often doing what others only wish they had the guts to try.

Can you imagine what the other disciples were saying to Peter as he got off the boat and started walking on the water? "Peter, what are you doing?" "Peter, have you lost your mind?" "Peter, you can't walk on water." Had he listened to them he never would have tried.

I only know of two people who have ever walked on water. That was Jesus and Peter. Not only are they the only two that we know of that ever walked on water, they are also the only two we know that ever tried.

Yes, Peter made a mistake by taking his eyes off of Jesus and allowing the wind to distract him. But at least he tried. Never allow the fear of making a mistake outweigh your courage to try. Congratulations on your mistake. Now try it again.
