"IT'S JUST CRACKED"

Scripture:  2 Corinthians 4:9

.......struck down, but not destroyed

I recently carried a computer to the shop for repair. I took it in because there were problems with the hard drive but the screen and cabinet were fine. There were no scratches or outer damages. When I picked it up, the screen was cracked and I was not happy. The technician apologized and stated that he did not know how it happened but would take full responsibility. He further assured me that even though the screen was cracked, there was no damage to the computer itself; "it's cracked, but not broken". He proceeded to the back, took the cracked screen off, replaced it with a new screen and sent me on my way.

I had already calculated the cost of a new MAC that the computer store would have to buy based solely on a crack. I was prepared to transfer the files and programs to a new computer assuming that it was broken. As I was driving home the Spirit forced me to capture the life lesson from the experience and then I remembered a quote from Linda Poindexter which says "One small crack does not mean that you were broken, it means that you were put to the test and didn't fall apart."

I have seen marriages, families, partnerships, and even individuals, cracked and written off as broken. Decide that the worse that life can do is crack you but never let it break you. As bad as it may seem, it's just cracked.
