"NO ROOM SERVICE"

Scripture:  Proverbs 14:23

"In all toil there is profit but mere talk tends only to poverty" (ESV)

One of the joys of a vacation is being in a nice hotel with good room service. It's even better when there is a butler assigned to serve you. The pleasures of having to do nothing but pick up the phone and make your requests known and in minutes it's done.

Life does not offer room service and it certainly does not come with a butler. You can't lay around, dial a number, or ring a bell and succeed in life. Someone once said "I'd rather be well exhausted from the hard work which breed success than well rested from achieving nothing." We should never expect to harvest success from a field that we have not planted the seed of labor.

Solomon wrote that "in all toil there is profit." Don't allow the enemy to deceive you and have you think that your labor is a waste of time. If a road leads to success it will be paved by hard work. There will be speed bumps called obstacles, pot holes called mistakes, but destinations called profit.

Don't be discouraged when success seems to flee from you. The word of God promises that "in all toil there is profit." Keep working and be assured that hard work will pay off. God is a God of His word. He cannot lie. If He spoke it, it will come to pass. Just remember, there is no room service in this thing called life.
