"UNPRECEDENTED FAVOR"

Scripture:  Mark 2:12

"And the man jumped up, grabbed his mat, and walked out through the stunned onlookers. They were all amazed and praised God, exclaiming "We've never seen anything like this before!" (Mark 2:12) (NLT)

I am not one who just throws out words to make people feel good or to give them false hope. But whenever I feel the lead of the Spirit to give a prophetic word then I do so and that is what I feel at this moment. Normally I would write about some event that has occurred or something that I observed and then I would put a scriptural text to it and offer a devotional for your Thursday morning.

But as I write this one I am compelled to declare this a day and a season of unprecedented favour in your life. That word "unprecedented" simply means "that which has never been done or known before." There is one Hebrew word (ber·ē·ä') that is translated as "unprecedented" in Numbers 16:30 in the HCSB translation. It means something that is new, unheard of, and worthy of being marvelled.

There are times in our lives when God wants to flex his muscles and do something that is absolutely unbelievable. That is what he did for the man in the Mark text. The man was paralyzed but his friends brought him to Jesus and he was healed. The people responded "we have never seen anything like this before." Jesus had extended unprecedented favour upon the man.

Don't be surprised by anything that happens in your life today. This is your day of unprecedented favor.
